Andingmen is currently a transportation node in northern central Beijing. Previously, a city gate was built in this location. Today, it has been replaced by Andingmen Bridge, an overpass taking the form of a suspended roundabout.

The current Andingmen Node is where the 2nd Ring Road converges with Andingmen Inner Street and Andingmen Outer Street and eventually Anding Road. Bus and trolleybus stops are nearby, along with Beijing Subway Line 2 stopping here.

The former Andingmen Gate was located in the northeastern parts of the city. Waste material was often transported through this gate.

Andingmen means "Gate of Stability".
